Ayra Starr performed a rendition of her track ‘Last Heartbreak Song’ feat Giveon with Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, displaying her superstar status once more.
Chris Martin plays the piano and sings alongside Giveon in the mesmerising duet, while Ayra Starr delivers an acapella performance of the single from her newly released sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21’.
Ayra Starr’s sophomore album was praised for showing her talent as a singer, hitmaker, and superstar with worldwide ambitions.
Their performance comes after Coldplay teased an unreleased single ‘Good Feeling’, which features vocals from Nigerian Grammy nominee Ayra Starr, making her only the fourth woman Coldplay has featured after collaborations with Rihanna, Beyonce, and Selena Gomez in their nearly 30-year career.
The song is set to appear on Coldplay’s upcoming tenth studio album, ‘Moon Music,’ which will be released on October 4. The album is also expected to include a song with British rapper Little Simz and Nigerian sensation Burna Boy, which Coldplay debuted at their recent Glastonbury headline performance.
Ayra Starr’s upcoming collaboration with Cold Play demonstrates her standing as one of the most rapidly emerging stars on the verge of becoming a global superstar.

In other news, Simi, a Nigerian musician, recently spoke on the Zero Conditions Podcast to discuss her music career and her shifting approach to social media, notably Twitter (now X).
Simi responded to questions about her reputation for humorous, sometimes scathing Twitter answers. She clarified that she never intended to be “savage,” saying, “I feel like I still am sometimes; maybe it’s because I’m not on Twitter as much as I used to be. I don’t see it as being ‘savage’ because my goal is not to be savage.”
The singer stressed that her online image mirrors her real-life personality. “That’s how I am in real life, though; I’d say I’m very quick with it. If someone says sorry, I would say sorry for yourself; I’m a joker as well,” Simi shared.
However, Simi noted a change in her social media activity, notably on Twitter. She explained, “Twitter isn’t the way it used to be; it used to be better. I don’t think it’s because people are now awake, though. I feel like Twitter has become a competition for who can be the most toxic or the loudest person and I don’t have fun with it like I used to. Now I hardly go on it.”
