Singer Ayra Starr makes US TV debut (Video)

On Tuesday night, Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Ayra Starr made her US TV debut on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’.

The 22-year-old electrified the audience with a performance of songs from her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21.’

Her performance began with the R&B-themed ‘Last Heartbreak Song’ starring Giveon, and culminated with the Afrobeats hit ‘Woman Commando’ with Anitta and Coco Jones.

In other news, Nigerian pastor Deborah Emmanuel Omale has given a stern caution to women, urging them to make sure that their dowry is settled before cohabiting with any man.

The clergywoman declared that women who reside with men without a customary bride price are essentially assigning themselves to the role of “house help”.
