Singer Davido praises father as he builds a new power plant in Nigeria

  • Davido has praised his father, Adedeji Adeleke, for his plans to construct a new power plant in Nigeria.
    • The billionaire businessman, speaking at the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference Annual Council, revealed that he generates about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity needs.
    • He announced the construction of Nigeria’s largest power plant, collaborating with Chinese engineering firms, set to be completed in January.

    Davido has praised his father, Adedeji Adeleke, as he prepares to establish a new power plant in Nigeria.

    During his address at the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference Annual Council, the billionaire entrepreneur disclosed that he currently produces approximately 15% of Nigeria’s electricity requirements.

    He went on to announce the construction of a new power plant, which is set to be the largest in Nigeria. He mentioned that he is collaborating closely with several Chinese engineering firms, with the project expected to be completed by January.

    In a post on his Instagram account, Davido conveyed his admiration for his father, referring to him as ‘His Hero’.

    He wrote, “My hero, my father Dr.Adedeji Adeleke speaks on The Sabbath at a SDA General Conference Annual Council 2024 – October 15th”.

    In other news, Popular comedian Nosa Afolabi, known as Lasisi Elenu, has shown his discontent to former Nigerian president Muhammad Buhari over the current economic challenges.

    Lasisi Elenu, celebrated for his special comedic style, shared a private conversation from Instagram with Buhari. In this chat, he sent a voice note expressing his frustration about the high costs of food, the increase in petrol prices, and other related issues.

    Muhammad Buhari ruled Nigeria for eight years from 2015 to 2023. Bola Ahmed Tinubu became president in May 2023.

    Since Buhari’s exit, Nigerians have faced numerous issues, including economic troubles, a rise in foreign exchange rates, security threats, and increased food prices.

    Lasisi Elenu could be heard sobbing deeply while expressing how he longed for Buhari’s administration.
