Singer Iyanya reacts to man spreading unverified news about Davido & Tekno

Iyanya has warned @obaoriade, an X user, against sharing false information about an alleged encounter between Davido and Tekno.

@obaoriade claimed Davido acknowledged receiving a hit song from Tekno during a difficult time, but when Tekno sought to contribute to Davido’s new album, he was allegedly ignored.

Iyanya has advised an X user, @obaoriade, to refrain from disseminating inaccurate information concerning a purported interaction between Davido and Tekno.

@obaoriade asserted that Davido had once admitted to receiving a successful track from Tekno during a challenging period in his career. Nevertheless, when Tekno attempted to offer his assistance for Davido’s upcoming album following his own personal difficulties, which included undergoing throat surgery, he was reportedly overlooked.

“One artist told the world in an interview he didn’t have a hit for a while and Tekno came through for him, gave him a full recorded song and assured him it’s a hit. Years later after going through a lot himself including throat surgery, Tekno openly reached out to the same artist tweeting at him that he’ll like to be part of his then “forthcoming album” not only was he ignored he didn’t even come any close to the album. One would think one good turn deserves another… but not in the Nigerian music industry. I pray Tekno find his voice again.”

Iyanya swiftly responded, warning @obaoriade: “Don’t tweet what you don’t know.”
