Nigerian singer-songwriter Jaywon has criticized a Lagos hotel for purportedly mistreating an artist who was set to perform at an event there.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Jaywon named the hotel as ST Hotel, located on Akinpelu Street in Oshodi, Lagos, and disclosed that the artist in question is named Joel.
Jaywon stated that Joel arrived at ST Hotel in good health but departed from the event with a broken leg, sharing a photo that depicted the artist’s injury.
Additionally, Jaywon asserted that justice will be pursued in connection with the alleged incident.
His tweet reads, “You invited an artist to your event only to treat him horribly. He arrived on two feet but left with a broken leg”.
“SH Hotel, Akinpelu, Oshodi, Lagos if this is something you’ve done before, it ends now. @joeelkennis will get justice!”.

In other news, Popular TikTok personality Iya Ogba has come to the defense of fellow content creator Ijoba Lande, who recently accused his wife, Dara, of infidelity.
In a recent statement, Iya Ogba commended Lande for openly discussing his marital difficulties, drawing parallels to the unfortunate situation surrounding the late singer Mohbad.
It is important to note that Ijoba Lande publicly charged his wife with being a habitual cheater, claiming she had engaged in affairs with approximately 21 individuals from the Nollywood industry. He further asserted that he possesses intimate videos featuring his wife with eight different men. These allegations have ignited a significant public response, with some individuals criticizing him for revealing personal matters online.
In response to the criticism directed at Lande, Iya Ogba expressed that his choice to speak out was justified, highlighting how the untimely death of Mohbad resulted in an outpouring of sympathy and financial support for his widow, despite the lack of clarity regarding the events of his life and death.
“I support Lande for speaking out. See Mohbad’s case, it has no head or tail. Just imagine that Lande kpai, who would have thought that it was the woman in his house that caused it? We will even donate for her and the child. A cheating wife will eventually k!ll her husband,” she stated.
Her comments have elicited a range of reactions, with some social media users agreeing that men should not remain silent about their marital challenges, while others criticized her for making a thoughtless implication regarding Mohbad’s wife.
