    • The band’s Afrobeat performance with French flair was well-received by the audience, including Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who were delighted by the cultural exchange.

Singer Peter Okoye, widely recognized as Mr P and formerly part of the now-defunct duo P-Square, has responded to a viral video featuring a French band performing P-Square’s popular track ‘Testimony’ (Taste the Money) at a state dinner in Paris.

The event, which took place on Thursday at the Palais de l’Élysée, was part of President Bola Tinubu’s three-day state visit to France, aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

The band’s lively Afrobeat interpretation, infused with a French touch, garnered applause from the audience, including President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who appeared to enjoy the cultural exchange.

On Friday, Peter shared the video on Instagram, captioning it: “Enjoy your weekend! 🫣 #TasteTheMoney”.

    Reacting to the post…

@Ugonna Uzohuo wrote, “Since u and ur brother no wan reconcile and give us back Psquare. Make we kukuma d manage this OYIBO SQUARE.”

@Joy Shaibu added, “In their mind now, they think they nailed the song.

@Glory Gaius commented, “E come be like choir ministration for their mouth.”

Peter’s post comes amidst ongoing tensions with his brother Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy.

Paul recently accused Peter of appropriating a song titled ‘Winning,’ asserting that it was meant for his forthcoming album.

Producer Vampire Craze disclosed that the track was produced in 2022 during a brief reunion of P-Square.

This accusation adds another dimension to the brothers’ long-standing conflicts, which ultimately resulted in the dissolution of P-Square.

Fans continue to express hope for reconciliation between the siblings, whose musical collaboration has produced numerous Afrobeat classics that have gained international acclaim.
