Singer Simi finally reveals how Adekunle Gold proposed to her

Simi, a well-known Nigerian singer, has shared on camera for the first time how her husband, Adekunle Gold, proposed to her.

She revealed that Adekunle proposed just 10 days before her 30th birthday, and it was a big surprise for her, despite her being someone who is usually hard to surprise.

Speaking about how the proposal happened on that auspicious day, Simi revealed that she and Adekunle Gold had previously attended a friend’s mother’s birthday celebration, which meant she was already fully dressed and wearing shoes.

However, when they returned home, she was exhausted, but her husband, Adekunle Gold, informed her that his uncles were having dinner at the Eko Hotel and insisted that she accompany him.


Simi responded that she couldn’t ignore it, emphasizing that it was an opportunity to get to know her husband’s family, unaware that AG Baby intended to propose to her.

She stated that she is a person with an I don’t care mentality since she would not have been wearing make-up, but Adekunle Gold had everything planned out for that day.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Adekunle told her to wear her heels right, and they went to their destination.

Simi was thinking about meeting her husband’s uncles.

As they neared their room, she saw candles at the entrance and praised Adekunle Gold’s family, completely unaware of the surprise proposal.

When she opened the door, she found balloons, candles, and flowers. Adekunle Gold then knelt down to ask her to marry him, and in her shock, she said “Yes.”
