Nigerian artist Spyro has publicly defended reality television personality Nengi Rebecca Hampson in response to allegations made by the controversial blogger, which claimed that she had secretly given birth to a child fathered by Douye Diri, the Governor of Bayelsa State.
In an Instagram post that included a video montage of Nengi’s images, Spyro urged the public to refrain from harassing her and to focus on their own lives. He expressed that Nengi’s child is a significant blessing from God and concluded his message by praising her beauty.
He stated:
“Honestly ,Ya’ll should pls leave her alone and face your lives o 🙄 That baby is of the lord and a BIG gift btw❤️
BEAUTIFUL IN AND AND OUT❤️ always #Nengi”
This statement follows Nengi’s own response to the rumors, in which she confirmed her pregnancy but denied any connection to the governor. She expressed her desire to experience her pregnancy peacefully and conveyed her affection to her supporters.
Earlier today, Spyro also shared his emotional state, revealing that he had been feeling sad throughout the day, a sentiment he communicated via his Instagram story. This post coincided with the emergence of the report regarding Nengi’s alleged childbirth with a Nigerian governor, which was initially reported by the controversial Instagram account Gistlover. Following the news, many netizens tagged Spyro in the comments section.
A few hours later, he shared on his Instagram stories, “I’m so sad today.”
It is noteworthy that Spyro has previously expressed romantic interest in Nengi, leading to speculation about a possible relationship between them. His poignant post, in light of the recent developments concerning Nengi, certainly carries significant implications.
