Nigerian emerging artist Olasunkanmi Rehanat Alonge, who is more commonly referred to as Sunkanmi, was left in disbelief by the recent acknowledgment she received on the internet.
A viral video circulating online captured the ecstatic reaction of Sunkanmi as she stumbled upon a post shared by American rapper Snoop Dog on Instagram.
The famous celebrity, with more than 88 million followers, posted a video featuring a collection of his photos set to Sunkanmi’s latest song “Higher.”
Upon seeing the post on social media, the upcoming artist quickly recorded a video expressing gratitude to the popular singer for acknowledging her.
“I can’t keep calm, see who used my sound on ig reels. God bless @snoopdogg, the world music icon!” She wrote.
Sunkanmi gained prominence in 2015 with the launch of her hit single “For Body”. She is currently under contract with Hit The Ground Records, through which she has released several successful tracks.
