Singer Wizkid announces release date for new album

Renowned Grammy Award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated album following persistent requests from his fanbase.

In a recent update on his Instagram account, the acclaimed singer of “Essence” revealed that the album is set to be released at 1 PM Nigerian time today.

The album titled ‘Morayo’ has been a topic of discussion among his fans for several weeks, and he has now disclosed the release date.

Wizkid has kept his audience in suspense for quite some time, having begun to tease the album’s release at the start of the year.

This upcoming album comes with specific stipulations from Wizkid, who has cautioned his fans regarding their expectations.

He has indicated that fans should not anticipate the return of the ‘Pakurumo Wizkid’ persona, as his musical style has undergone significant transformation.

Furthermore, he has requested that he not be classified as an Afrobeats artist, asserting that his artistry transcends that genre.
