Singer Wizkid Bags seven nominations in Kenyan Award

Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is about to add more plaques to his award shelf after being nominated in seven categories for a Kenyan Award.

The Africa Arts Entertainments Award is designed to reward and promote the work of music stars across Africa.

The event will take place on August 17, 2024, in Kenya. The Grammy-winning artist was nominated for AAEA Continental Artist of the Year, AAEA Best Continental Male Artist, Continental Album/EP of the Year (S2), Best Continental International Feature (Work Me Out), Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit (IDK), Best Continental Afro RnB Hit (Money&Love), and Best Continental Afro RnB Hit (Ebelebe).

The news is fascinating, and it is a victory not only for Wizkid but also for the Nigerian entertainment industry as a whole, which has done an excellent job of putting Afrobeats on a global map.
