Afrobeats singer Skales has opened up about his experiences with artists he once supported in their journey to stardom. The Shake Body crooner revealed that many of those he assisted in the past have since betrayed him, a reality that has deeply affected him.
Speaking on the issue, Skales expressed his disappointment, noting that despite his contributions to their careers, some of these artists have turned their backs on him. However, he emphasized that regardless of human betrayal, he remains grateful for God’s unwavering faithfulness in his life.
He further shared that one of the most valuable lessons he learned from his late mother was the importance of prayer and trusting God through all circumstances. According to him, seeking divine guidance has been his anchor during difficult moments.
Skales’ revelation sheds light on the challenges of the entertainment industry, where friendships and alliances can be unpredictable. Nevertheless, he remains focused on his career and personal growth, choosing to rely on his faith rather than dwell on past betrayals.
Despite the disappointments, the singer continues to make strides in the music scene, proving that resilience and trust in God can lead to greater success.
On his X handle, Skales wrote:
“One day I’ll sit down and tell you a story of how a lot of people turned their backs on me, including people I helped build up in this industry. But guess what? God never failed me even when I was isolated… Don’t you ever stop praying and trusting God with everything you’ve got… Best advice my mom gave me!!!”
