Nigerian Instagram comedian, Nasboi has announced the postponement of his comedy show ‘I am Nasboi’ in London, United Kingdom.
The decision follows backlash that came as a result of him and comedian, Basketmouth fixing their shows to hold abroad on February 25, the date for Nigeria’s presidential elections.
Fans had taken to social media to drag both comic acts for not taking the election date into consideration when planning their comedy shows.
Basketmouth maintained his position that the event which is lineup to take place through February, will hold as scheduled.
But Nasboi said he did not intentionally fix the show on election day and as such has postponed it. He said a new date for the event will be be announced later.
He wrote; “Hi! Twitter fam. Trust me when i say hosting a show on Feb 25th being our Election Day isn’t deliberate. Thank you for your thoughts and comments. My event will take place later than the scheduled date. New date will be announced. Nasboi.”
