President Muhammadu Buhari was receiving the Emir of Kano on Tuesday night in Abuja as some Nigerian soldiers fired at unarmed protesters in Lagos.
It was not clear whether the President had been briefed about the shooting in Lagos before the meeting with Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The post came in while Nigerians were mourning those killed and trying to get help for the injured following what has now been tagged the Lekki toll gate massacre.
