Harrison Okiri popularly known as Harrysong, Nigerian singer, has taken back his claims against music executive, Soso Soberekon.
Recall that Mr Songz, as he is also known as had earlier accused Soberekan of hiring assassins against him during an interview on the Frankly Speaking podcast partly hosted by comedian, Nedu Wazobia.
“If you see Soso now you’ll say Soso na my friend. Soso is not my friend, Soso is my enemy. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt, no jokes. Ask my team, ask everyone,” he said in the episode which aired last week.
However, the singer recanted his statement in a video posted via his Instagram page on Saturday.
He also assured fans that he was now on good terms with the music executive.
“About the video that was trending last week that some group of boys made an attempt on my life, yes it was true. It was a group of boys that were misled, I now have clarity, it wasn’t Soso who sent them.
“I and Soso are good now, so guys thanks to everyone that reached out,” Harrysong said.
Harrysong’s new statement comes after his arrest by the Nigerian Police on Tuesday. The singer was picked up from the airport after landing in Lagos and taken into custody.
