Videos of the candlelight procession held in Lagos for late veteran singer Sound Sultan have gone viral.
Singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi aka Sound Sultan, has died. A statement released by his family says he died on July 11 after a long battle with throat cancer Angioimmunoblastic T-cell. The singer is survived by his wife and three children at the age of 44.
Sound Sultan, a Muslim faithful while he was alive, was buried according to Islamic injunction at a cemetery in New Jersey, U.S. on Sunday July 11 (the same day he died) according to Muslim rites amidst tears and tributes.

A video that surfaced during the funeral showed that his wife, Farida Fasasi broke down entirely and, at one point laid her head on his coffin.
However, friends and family had held the candlelight procession in his honor. They were seen wearing black T-shirts as they held the candle and sing harmoniously.
