The situation surrounding Miss Universe Nigeria queen Chidimma Adetshina’s departure from Miss SA is still ongoing. The South African opposition party, ActionSA, has contacted the Department of Home Affairs to ask how her mother was allowed to travel back to Nigeria.
Recall that Chidimma’s mother is currently being investigated for fraud and corruption by the Department of Home Affairs related to identity theft.
According to Lerato Ngobeni, the chief whip of ActionSA, the Home Affairs department’s investigation into fraud and identity theft is making good progress and includes the Hawks’ involvement.
Ngobeni also pointed out that it is troubling to see Chidimma’s mother on TV in Nigeria during the Miss Universe Nigeria event.
