Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, known as Speed Darlington, has been in conflict with fellow musician Damini Ogulu, who is popularly called Burna Boy.
Recently, it was reported that Burna Boy took legal action against Speed Darlington for supposed cyberstalking.
As a result, the rapper was taken to Abuja and held by the IRT squad. Darlington’s mother claimed that Burna Boy and his team caused her son’s arrest and pleaded with the Grammy-winning star to set him free.
After three days behind bars, Speed Darlington was released on bail after complying with the police’s demands at the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team’s office in Abuja’s Guzape area.
Instead of backing off, the rapper declared he would confront Burna on Instagram Live. He also claimed that soon, Burna’s mother would publicly ask him for mercy on social media.
He said:
“Burna Boy’s mother must come out and beg me on social media.”

In other news, Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage has addressed a common misunderstanding about her persona, which often labels her as a diva.
In a recent interview on Beat 99.9FM, the singer emphasized that, contrary to her stage name, she does not embody the characteristics of a savage; rather, she identifies as a romantic individual.
“I’m definitely a lover girl,” she clarified.
“A lot of the time, when people meet me in person they think I’m a savage or a diva because of my name, and I’m the complete opposite. t’s so bad that when I’m angry, my team members are here and can attest, my pitch gets even higher and they’d just be like alright and okay. It doesn’t phase them,” the artist elaborated. She further mentioned that one area where she does exhibit a fierce attitude is in her professional endeavors, emphasizing that her career propels her into a relentless mode of productivity.
She explained, “I think I’m a beast when it comes to my work, I tend to not take no for an answer and I can call you a million times till the work is done. I could wake up at 6am to pester you on why it’s not done or until you give me a reason. If not I’d find another way to get it done. I think when it comes to work, that’s where the savagery comes in. In my personal life and friends ,I’m a softie.”
Tiwa Savage characterized her current life stage as her ‘Phoenix era,’ signifying the commencement of a new chapter that has risen from the remnants of her previous experiences.
She explained, “I’m currently in my phoenix era, I’ve got the tattoo on my neck. She’s gone though the fire and is just getting out. It’s a rebirth and I’m coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreaks. I’m a point in life where I’m able to set boundaries and be able to enjoy my hard work. This is the rebirth of tiwa savage.”
