Stan Alieke, the legal representative for Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, widely recognized as Speed Darlington or Akpi, has expressed his concerns regarding his client’s recent rearrest.
It is important to note that the controversial figure was apprehended by law enforcement in Owerri, Imo State, while he was reportedly performing at an event.
The specific grounds for the singer’s detention remain unclear at the time of this report. However, there are claims suggesting a connection to Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.
In a recent post on social media, Stan Alieke indicated that December 3 marks the seventh day of Akpi’s detention by the police.
He further disclosed that the Nigerian police have denied his client bail, asserting that they are infringing upon Speed’s constitutional rights.
