Stan Alieke, the attorney representing rapper Speed Darlington, has announced that his client is expected to be released soon.
He stated that Speed Darlington was brought before the court and granted bail on January 15th.
Alieke explained that the delay in his client’s release was due to the court’s incomplete verification of the surety that had been submitted.
He further indicated that the rapper is anticipated to be released today, January 16th.
Sharing the update on IG, Stan Alieke wrote:
“Yes, Akpi was arraigned and granted bail today by the court & he was meant to be released today. The court just couldn’t meet up to verify the surety we provided that’s why he wasn’t released today. Hopefully, by tomorrow he’ll be out after the perfection of the bail conditions.”
In other news, Nigerian social media commentator Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, posted his WhatsApp chat with Super Eagles player Victor Boniface.
In a video released on January 15, VDM explained that Boniface contacted him through Instagram, where he provided his WhatsApp number.
VDM shared screenshots of their conversation and was surprised to learn that the Bayern Leverkusen player is also from Benin, Edo state.
Before their conversation, VDM mentioned that he always believed Boniface was either Yoruba, Igbo, or from Akwa Ibom state.
During their talk, Boniface agreed to send VDM a recharged card valued at N5 million to help with his social media posts.
VDM shared his account number and later said that Boniface sent him even more than he had promised, but he chose not to disclose the exact amount.
The social media critic shared N2 million from Boniface’s gift with several lucky fans to support their vocational training.
Sharing the video, VDM wrote in a caption:
