“Stop Denying Your Husbands”- Muslim Lady Clears The Air On Marital Intimacy During Ramadan

  • A Nigerian Muslim woman has taken to social media to address a common misconception among some married women regarding intimacy during Ramadan.

Muslims around the world are currently observing the sacred month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection. As of today, March 11, 2025, it marks the 11th day of the 30-day fasting period.

Tinuke Vibes, a Nigerian Muslim woman, shared her thoughts on Instagram after learning that some wives have been refraining from engaging in marital intimacy with their husbands throughout the holy month. Expressing her concerns, she clarified that Islam does not prohibit intimacy between married couples during Ramadan, but rather imposes specific guidelines.

According to her, spouses are not allowed to engage in intercourse during fasting hours, which last from around 5:30 AM until 7:00 PM. However, once the fast is broken in the evening, couples are permitted to be intimate between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM before the next day’s fast begins.

She emphasized that while Ramadan is a time of spiritual devotion, it does not require complete abstinence from marital relations—only that it be observed within the permissible hours.

In her words; “You people have started, they did not tell you not to knack your husband inside Ramadan eh, when you are fasting that is when you should not do it, but after you people break your fast, you can do anything as much as you like, continue firing.”
