Subsidy Removal Protest: Senate Meets NLC, TUC

At the National Assembly complex in Abuja, the leadership of the Nigerian Senate is currently meeting with organized labor.

According to Gistlover, the Labour leaders are meeting with the Senate leadership, led by Senate President Godswill Apkabio, to voice their complaints about the elimination of gasoline subsidies and other federal government policies.

Additionally, it was reported that, after organizing a national protest for several weeks, the Senate leadership invited the labor leaders to the National Assembly. At the meeting is the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president Comrade Joe Ajaero; the President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Festus Osifo and some members of the unions

Also at the meeting is the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele; Senate Chief Whip, Ali Ndume, and other principal officers of the Senate.
