Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has shared the heartbreaking news of his mother’s passing.
In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), the 28-year-old described 2025 as “the worst year of my life already,” adding, “A very very crazy world indeed. RIP mom.”
The Chippa United shot-stopper is grappling with a double tragedy, having lost his father just months earlier, on November 15, 2024.
Due to this recent loss, Nwabali was excused from Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Rwanda.
Fans and well-wishers have taken to social media to express their condolences, offering support during this difficult time for the goalkeeper.
