Oluwadolarz, a Nigerian comedian and skit-maker, has said that when he decided to pursue a career in music, he did not get support from his colleagues.
He stated that when he released his debut EP, his close buddy Lord Lamba and Sydney Talker, with whom he lived in Lagos for three to four months, did not support or promote his music.
Oluwadolarz discussed his relationship with his comedy industry colleagues on a recent episode of The Echoo Room. He revealed that only Bae U, a skit maker, supported him.
The content creator went on to say that, contrary to popular assumption, there is “pure competition” behind the scenes among the country’s skit creators.
He stated that his experience has inspired him to create a documentary that would highlight his life story and the lack of support in the content creation industry.
