Nigerian gospel star Yinka Ayefele is facing strong criticism from upset internet users after a shocking confession by a former ritualist aired on his show.

This interview exposed the ritualist’s dark history of killing more than 78 innocent people as sacrifices to his gods, raising concerns about Ayefele’s choice to feature such a disturbing guest.

The ritualist shared a chilling story of how he regularly sacrificed women, claiming their blood was offered to a deity that supposedly thrived on human life.

Notable figures have spoken out during the commotion, including a well-regarded professor from the University of Ilorin, Pius Oyeniran Afobaje. He used his TikTok account to question Ayefele’s intentions regarding the contentious interview.

The professor doubted that any god in Yoruba culture would require human sacrifice, but he highlighted Ayefele’s significant position in the matter.

He urged the singer to take responsibility and help the police find the supposed bloodthirsty deity if the claims made by the ritualist are true.

In other news, Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely recognized as DJ Cuppy, has suggested that she may be considering stepping away from her career.

In a post on her X account, Cuppy articulated that while DJing has always been her passion, she feels a strong inclination this year to elevate her endeavors and create a more significant impact.

“DJing is my passion, but tbh this year has felt like a whole new experience, like I’m meant to level up and make a bigger impact.. Only God knows what’s next,” she stated.

In response to her announcement, a fan encouraged her to return to DJing, expressing dissatisfaction with her current direction.

“Start DJing again. I have missed your vibes on IG. I don’t like the new you at all,” he wrote.

DJ Cuppy replied, “I don’t like the old me at all.”

Recently, the music artist released a gospel mixtape following her baptism earlier this year, claiming that she received divine inspiration for the project.
