Tayesman Reacts To Femi Lazarus Statement About Gospel Singers Charges

  • A debate arose between singer Timi Dakolo and Pastor Femi Lazarus regarding fees charged by gospel ministers.
  • Pastor Lazarus criticized Nigerian gospel artists for commercializing ministry work.
  • He claimed that some gospel singers charge up to N5 million for appearances, which he finds unacceptable.
  • A heated debate recently erupted between singer Timi Dakolo and Pastor Femi Lazarus over the issue of gospel ministers charging fees for their services.

The controversy started when Pastor Lazarus criticized Nigerian gospel artists for what he described as the commercialization of ministry work. According to the Light Nation Global lead pastor, many gospel singers demand fees as high as N5 million for appearances, a practice he deemed unacceptable. His statement sparked mixed reactions, with many expressing their disagreement.

Timi Dakolo, one of those who took issue with the pastor’s remarks, responded by pointing out that Pastor Lazarus himself charges $150 for enrollment in his ministry school. This revelation fueled further discussion on social media, drawing widespread attention.

Adding to the discourse, content creator Teymesan weighed in through his Instagram status, noting that divisions had once again surfaced within the Christian community. He also suggested that such debates wouldn’t arise with international gospel artists like Chandler Moore and CeCe Winans, who are currently in Nigeria.

@danielikore:”If youre not a Christian, i forgive your Ignorance.
