After weeks of reports about the unexpected death of Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, also called Aduke Gold, new information about her burial ceremony has come to light.
Footage from the candlelight event in her honor has appeared online, touching many hearts.
On Thursday, August 21, family members, friends, and colleagues gathered for the procession that started late.
The procession was held at Ifako-Ijaiye Road, off College Way, in Ogba, Lagos.
The clips making the rounds online showed that Aduke Gold’s fans massively loved her with the type of turnout her candlelight procession could stir.
Gistlover remembers the strong reactions from the public after the news of Aduke Gold’s death spread. Many people online were upset and promised to look into the circumstances of her passing.
Later, it was revealed that Aduke Gold had been fighting cervical cancer and died during surgery at the Teaching Hospital in Ibadan.
