A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to lament bitterly after her newly built house was engulfed by a surging flood in her community.

The lady whose newly built house was submerged by flood, in a video she shared on social media lamenting her situation said she spent her last penny on the house to see it finished so she could move in.

Unfortunately, the flood wrecked havoc on the newly built house before she could move in.

The video showed the house before the incident and the current state of the house engulfed in floodwater.

In recent times, many states in Nigeria have been ravaged by floods. Only a few days ago, a family of six lost their lives in Anambra state after floodwater surged into their home and drowned them all.

In other news A Nigerian man has expressed ‘gratitude’ to God for the flood that swept into their family house as they now have a ”free swimming pool.”

He shared a video of him and a lady swimming and playing in the flood water and wrote;

”IF THE WATER LIKE MAKE E COVER DOWNSTAIR, E NOR CONCERN ME. I STILL GET HOPE FOR UPSTAIRS. THANK GOD FOR THIS FLOOD. WE DON GET FREE SWIMMING POOL”
