In a discussion with Channels Television, Timaya highlighted his unwavering authenticity and his refusal to apologize for his identity.

He expressed that the views of others do not affect him, as he remains concentrated on his personal development and achievements.

Looking back on his evolution from a plantain vendor to a celebrated artist, Timaya credited his transformation entirely to his enhanced financial status.

Timaya said: “How somebody sees me doesn’t bother me. I’ve gone past those things. What you think or how you think are like fried eggs and bread.

“I’m not doing anything bad. I’m original. I’ve been like this all my life. The only thing I know that people can say is that I’m a very blunt guy, I speak my mind “It is very difficult when you are trying to live a life that you are not. The only thing that has changed is the money that I have now. From a plantain boy, now I look better, not like I was that bad but I was bad.”

in related news, artist Inetimi Timaya Odon, widely recognized as Timaya, has recently discussed the escalating expenses associated with producing music videos, contrasting them with those of previous years.

Timaya disclosed that in the past, the budget for creating a music video was around N1.5 million.

However, he emphasized that current production expenses have dramatically increased, now ranging from N50 million to N100 million for high-quality visuals.

Additionally, Timaya clarified that the significant fees charged by artists encompass not only the music itself but also the expenses related to promoting the song.
