Okey Bakassi, a Nollywood actor, laments the untimely death of his comrade John Okafor, nicknamed Mr Ibu.
Okey Bakassi, who opted to pay homage to Mr Ibu over a week after his death, posted a video on Instagram that had various photographs and write-ups about Mr Ibu’s passing, as well as a sympathetic voiceover in the background.
In the video, Okey Bakassi expressed how difficult it was for him to believe the news.
He described how he paid Mr Ibu a visit on his sickbed at the hospital, and despite Ibu’s condition, he tried to brighten the room with his amusing displays.
He shared the video, writing:
“It has been very difficult to process….life happens. Rest in peace, my brother and friend, John Okafor.”

IT IS A TALE TOLD BY AN IDIOT, FULL OF SOUND AND FURY, SIGNIFYING NOTHING.” Rest in peace, Mr Ibu.”
