Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa had revealed that tragic death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, was not connected in any way to neither was Sam Larry, a friend of Naira Marley’s.
During a press conference on Friday, Commissioner Owohunwa made this declaration.
Sam Larry and Naira Marley were not in Nigeria at the time of Mohbad’s tragic death, according to thorough investigations, the Commissioner of Police said.
In his statement, the Commissioner did reveal yet another shocking fact. It seems that Sam Larry, Naira Marley’s friend, did fight Mohbad physically before the singer passed away.
Sam Larry, according to Owohunwa, admitted to physically arguing with Mohbad over a dispute involving a sizeable sum of money (N2 million), which the late singer allegedly received for the costs of his mother’s funeral but failed to fulfill his performance commitment at the event.
In Commissioner’s words;
“There are evidence that Naira Marley and Sam Larry have nothing to do with Mohbad’s death.
“Documentary evidence shows that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry we’re not in the country during the singer’s death.
“However, there are electronic evidence that Sam Larry bullied the singer, this he admitted.
“Sam Larry admitted to physical assisting of Mohbad over the two million naira the singer collected for his mother’s burial but failed to perform during the event.”
