AfroBeats singer, Davido has received questioning from troll for failing to fulfill his promise of giving out 20 million to 20 people.
GistLover earlier reported that following the current economic situation in Nigeria, Davido had unveiled plans to put smiles on the face of some Nigerians.
In a post shared on his official social media page Davido affirmed that the country is currently hard and would be giving out twenty million to twenty people on Friday 18th March 2022.
The singer urged fans and followers to send their business ideas and start-up ideas.
He tweeted: Country hard right now sha … let’s give 20 m to 20 pple on Friday … send in your business ideas or start up ideas … more details shortly.
Unfortunately, the plans never came true as the singer didn’t give out money to the public except the 1 million naira he donated to foot the medical bill of a little boy who was paralysed.
Twitter user who never forget things queried the singer for not fulfilling his promise.
Daniel Regha speaking out on behalf of Twitter users called him out for not updating the public on the disbursement.
“Davido u are right saying Drake’s $3m chain was a silly investment. It’s a misuse of money. But u are doing the same by purchasing luxurious cars, jewelries & other vanity properties u don’t need. Try investing wisely. By the way, u are yet to go get an update on the N20m giveaway”.
