Music executive Ubi Franklin shared his worries on Instagram about the toxic and divided entertainment scene in Nigeria.

He noted that the harsh words, threats, and conspiracy theories are damaging the industry and making it hard for him to support new artists.

This comes after a clash between singer Spyro and music executive Ubi Franklin over unpaid debts.

Spyro states that Ubi deceived him into performing at an event and did not fulfill the payment agreement.

Ubi Franklin tells a different tale.

He says that Spyro owes him a 10% commission for helping to arrange a deal for a car valued at N105 million, which totals N10.5 million.

In other news, Musician Segun Johnson, renowned for his distinctive singing style at events, has shared insights into the inspiration behind his creative approach.

Primarily seen at high-profile gatherings, the singer expressed that his commitment to ensuring an enjoyable musical experience for all attendees has been a longstanding priority, dating back to his days as a backup drummer.

Johnson emphasized that many musicians tend to concentrate solely on the affluent individuals who shower money at parties, while he remains attentive to the enjoyment of all guests present.

“Back then when the rich men start spraying money, the musician can even forget the celebrant to focus on praise singing the spender but deep down I was always thinking that there must be a way for everybody to enjoy the vibe and be happy,” he said.
