Slimcase faced criticism online following his interaction with 33-year-old Burna Boy at the well-known Secret Palace nightclub in Lagos.
Some social media users condemned the singer for prostrating before Burna Boy, who is younger than him. In response to the backlash, Slimcase addressed his critics in a recent video.
He explained that he showed respect to Burna Boy due to the latter’s significant achievements in the music industry, regardless of their age difference. Slimcase emphasized that Burna Boy has received numerous accolades, including the esteemed Grammy Award, which establishes him as a prominent figure in the music scene.
Additionally, he refuted claims regarding his age, asserting in the video that he is 45 years old. In a caption, the hypeman mentioned that if Rema, who is 24, were to win a Grammy, he would extend the same greeting to the Calm Down artist as he did to Burna Boy.
Slimcase wrote; “This is the way I greet GRAMMYS as young as Rema is make e win Grammy I will greet him this way #slimcaseshow.”
