Three men accuse Diddy of rape & sexual assault in new lawsuits

  • Three men have filed lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging rape and sexual assault, claiming he drugged and assaulted them.
  • The complaints, filed separately in New York Supreme Court on Thursday, pertain to alleged incidents allegedly occurring between 2019-22.
  • Two plaintiffs claim that Mr. Combs personally offered them alcoholic drinks at parties, making them unconscious, and then allegedly raped them.

Three additional men have leveled accusations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging rape and sexual assault in a series of new lawsuits that claim the rapper drugged and assaulted them.

The complaints, which were filed separately in the New York Supreme Court on Thursday, pertain to incidents that reportedly took place between 2019 and 2022.

Two of the plaintiffs assert that they attended parties hosted by Mr. Combs, where he allegedly “personally offered” them alcoholic beverages that rendered them unconscious, leading to claims of rape.

The rapper’s legal representatives have dismissed the lawsuits, characterizing them as “full of lies.” He is currently in custody at a jail in Brooklyn.

“We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him,” the legal team stated to the BBC.

These three lawsuits contribute to a total of over 30 civil cases filed against Mr. Combs, many of which involve similar allegations of sexual assault dating back to the 1990s. He has been denied bail on three occasions and is presently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Thomas Giuffra, the attorney representing the three plaintiffs, informed the BBC in an interview that over 60 individuals have contacted his office with claims against Mr. Combs.

He indicated that his office thoroughly investigated each claim before deciding to proceed with these three cases.

The plaintiffs opted to file their lawsuits anonymously due to concerns regarding Mr. Combs and his considerable influence. In one of the recent lawsuits, an anonymous plaintiff identified as John Doe accuses Mr. Combs of assault following an encounter at the Marquee nightclub in New York in 2019.

According to his complaint, he attended a private afterparty with Mr. Combs and ten other individuals, during which the hip-hop mogul allegedly “personally offered” him a cocktail, after which he experienced disorientation. The plaintiff claims that Mr. Combs recognized his state of confusion and remarked: “He is ready to party.”

The individual asserts that he lost consciousness and, during fleeting moments of awareness, observed a man and a woman recording as he was assaulted by the musician.

The following day, he alleges that he received approximately $2,500 (£2,000) from the individuals who recorded the incident, who claimed the funds were provided by Mr. Combs.

Another unnamed plaintiff states that he attended a gathering at Mr. Combs’ residence in East Hampton during the summer of 2020. After consuming alcohol supplied by Mr. Combs, he contends that he began to lose awareness.

While experiencing periods of diminished consciousness, he alleges that Mr. Combs and others associated with Bad Boys Entertainment “took turns assaulting him.”

A third anonymous individual claims to have met Mr. Combs in 2006 and subsequently began working for him.

He alleges that in February 2020, he met Mr. Combs at a hotel to discuss outstanding wages, during which he claims the rapper prepared a drink that he suspects was laced with drugs.

He states that he lost consciousness and awoke to find Mr. Combs assaulting him.

According to the lawsuit, Mr. Combs allegedly warned him that he would appear foolish if he reported the incident to the authorities and that no one would believe his claims.

Additionally, Mr. Combs is facing separate federal criminal charges related to a conspiracy involving sex trafficking and racketeering.

Authorities allege that the celebrity orchestrated a prolonged scheme of sexual abuse and exploitation, which included organizing drug-fueled events featuring male sex workers.

Mr. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.

His legal representatives have consistently maintained his innocence.

The trial is set to commence in May.
