DMW’s top music artiste, Mayorkun held the “Mayor of Lagos” concert over the weekend in Ibadan and it was a huge success as the show recorded a massive turn out from his fans in the city.
The show which held at the Palms Shopping Mall Ibadan, also featured special performances from ace entertainers like Davido, Duncan Mighty, Small Doctor, L.A.X, Idowest, Dremo, Peruzzi, Ichaba, Yonda, Terri, 1da Banton, Lyta and many others.
Asides the incident the fact that the concert was disrupted with violence as Davido’s bouncer assaulted a journalist to unconsciousness before he was revived at UCH, and the s*xcapades which took place the entire mall and it’s immediate environs were littered with used condoms as people had sex with reckless abandon, the concert and performances itself can be described as a success.
Mayorkun was captured having fun as he wowed fans with songs from his armoury of hits; as he treated with criminally underrated gems like “Eleko”, “Mama”, “Bobo”, “Che Che”, “Sade”, and “Love You Tire”; which he was joined by the DMW stars for hits like “Mind” and “Prayer”.
It was gathered that a total of over 13,000 people were in attendance surpassing the expected 5000 estimate. Meanwhile, his fans at Abuja remain expectant as they watch out for the next Mayorkun “Mayor of Lagos” concert in Abuja on the 11th of August 2018, at the Congress Hall of the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
