Shortly after the APC presidential campaign team defended their candidate Tinubu’s absence at the Arise TV presidential town hall meeting on Sunday night, a video of him at a birthday party on the same night has surfaced.
Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar was represented by his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa at the town hall meeting.
Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Peoples Redemption Party’s presidential candidate, Kola Abiola, were also present.
However, while the townhall meeting was underway, a video of Tinubu at the birthday party of his associate, retired colonel Sani Bello, some 6.4 km (an eight-minute drive) from the venue of the presidential town hall meeting, was shared online.
This is also coming after the Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign, Festus Keyamo, said in a statement that the party’s presidential candidate can’t attend all events because he has a busy schedule.
