"To avoid stories" - Reactions as Nigerian lady empties her store as protest begins

A Nigerian lady shared what she did to save her hair business at the start of the nationwide protest against bad governance.

She hauled out all of the wigs in her store and moved them to a secure location so that none would be stolen if hoodlums used the protest as an excuse to break into the shop.

In a video that appeared online, she can be seen with her workers bringing out the wigs one by one and loading them into a car to be transported.

According to her, the store is on the roadside, so she decided to take precautions by packing away her belongings a day before the protest began on August 1st.

@chioma___official; Good decision my sister. Mine is on the road side too and I’ve carried some things home.

@mcmakopolo1; Omo them no Dey tell person! Experience wey u get personally or from other people is the best teacher

@themeatmill; This is my fear in all of these though. Even trucks have refused to help us carry our stocks to Lagos because of this protest.

@uniq_pearl; She is wise, I thought the same thing yesterday morning about business owners whose goods can be moved from their shops. I hope those are the circle mall have taken preventive measures to safeguard their goods too. Protest against govt but civil citizens are usually the victims. It is well.
