1. CAMA Is Dangerous To Wellbeing of Nigeria – CAN
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has written to President Muhammadu Buhari urging him to suspend the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, stating that it is dangerous to the “wellbeing of the Nigerian-state”.
The letter, signed by the president of the association, Samson Ayokunle, was stated that the government did not involve critical stakeholders and “various interest groups”.

Last Thursday, the minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development of Nigeria, Sadiya Farouq, disclosed that she has directed Focal Persons of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) in all the states of the federation “to submit an updated list and details of the exited N-Power beneficiaries that are interested in participating in the transition plans of the ministry”. This disclosure is a joke, and further portrays Farouq as unworthy of occupying the seat of a minister of the Federal Republic, let alone Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.

The Senior Special Assitant to President Muhamadu Buhari on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu has debunked news making round the media that Buhari’s aide Sarki Abba tested positive for COVID-19.
Reacting to reports making round different digital news platforms on his twitter page, Shehu told Nigerians to ignore the news platforms that according to him was spreading fake news.
6. Buhari Presides Over 14th Virtual FEC Meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a virtual Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential villa in Abuja.
The meeting which started at about 10 am has in attendance, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha while some ministers are participating virtually from their offices.

The Los Angeles County police has shot dead an African American cyclist, Dijon Kizzee, less than two weeks after the police in Kenosha, Wisconsin shot and paralysed another African American, Jacob Blake.

The governor said that in a chat with reporters at the State House on Tuesday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

Former vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi has thrown his weight behind the incumbent governor and the candidate of the party Godwin Obaseki ahead of the forthcoming election governorship election in Edo state.
Obi who spoke on Tuesday at Obaseki’s Governorship campaign in Oza, Orhionmwon Local Government Area declared that the South-South region was a stronghold for the party and the case of the state shouldn’t be different.

The Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa has assured Tokunbo Abiru, the consensus Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of full support at the forthcoming by-election in Lagos East senatorial district.
Obasa who described the APC National leader Bola Tinubu as the commander of the party while receiving Abiru, said whatever Tinubu declares is what becomes a logical conclusion at the party.

11. PPMC Increases Fuel Price to N151.56 per Litre
The Pipeline and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) has announced an increase in the price of petrol from N143.80 per litre to N151.56 per litre.
Making this disclosure in a statement by D.O Abalaka of PPMC, the commission announced that the increase in the pump price of petrol is expected to take effect from Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
