Biafra political activist and leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has listed resistance, consistency, and momentum because the “only three ingredients” needed to realize the aim of the #EndSWAT protests ongoing across Nigerian states, GistLover reports.

Kanu enumerated these during a statement on Tuesday he entitled “EndSARS campaign is heading within the right direction. Only three ingredients are needed now”, made available to the press through IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.

Dangote Group founder, Aliko Dangote, and UBA chairman, Tony Elumelu are criticised for prioritising money above protest against police killings and harassment against Nigerians following the deaths of tens of youths within the hands of Police Unit, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Both Dangote and Elumelu had held a personal virtual meeting with some prominent Nigerians, Aisha Yesufu, singer Ayo “Wizkid” Balogun, Career Developer, Dipo Awojide, lawyer, Faykemi Abudu, Media expert, Adebola William, Rapper Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana.

In the wake of protests against the brutality of Nigerians by the police , Nollywood actress Nsikan Isaac has recalled how her brother and father were murdered by officers some years ago.

In the wake of protest against the new Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, a replacement unit to exchange the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, (SARS), Self-proclaimed African Giant says it’s time for institutional reform in Nigeria.

Burna Boy who has been lending his voice to the continued #EndSars movement in Nigeria said this during a tweet within the early hours of Wednesday, October 14.

7. IMF: Nigeria’s Recession to Reflect Buhari’s Military Regime Economy

Nigeria is heading for an additional recession, and it’ll be the second worse recession ever within the history of the country, this is according to new projection by the International fund (IMF) on Nigeria’s economic process for 2020, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

8. Teachers Recruitment 2020: Gov. Zulum Approves Recruitment of 776 New Teachers In Borno

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the recruitment of 776 teachers for Borno Secondary Schools.

Zulum, while chatting with newsmen after a gathering with the officials of the state ministries of upper education and the Borno State Universal Basic Education Board (BOSUBEB), said secondary school teachers will resume November 1, 2020.

9. #EndSARS: No Protester Has Been Killed so far – Lagos CP

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said that there has been no record of the death of a protester.

Odumosu said this in an interview with lawyers to storm the Lagos State Police Command, carrying placards.

10. SWAT: Pro-Biafra Group Leader, Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB Reacts

Biafra political activist and leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has denigrated Tuesday’s announcement by the inspector general of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu that the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team will take over from the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
