1- Buhari Heads to Poland Saturday for Climate Change Summit

President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja on Saturday for Katowice, Poland, to attend the 24th session of the Climate Change Conference known as the Parties (COP24). The statement said COP24, under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), would hold from December 2 to December 4.

2- Service Chiefs Benefiting From Boko Haram War, Ohanaeze Alleges

Some Service Chiefs in the country are using the war against Boko Haram to make money, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has alleged. The Igbo socio-cultural group expressed shock that despite the huge funds being earmarked for the procurement of weapons to fight insurgency in the northeast, the government has failed to protect lives and property of its citizenry.

3- PDP Presidential Campaign Names Directorates, Spokespersons

The PDP Presidential Campaign Council has released the Operational Directorates, as well as names of the spokespersons for its 2019 Presidential elections campaigns. The spokespersons for the campaign include Buba Galadima, Akin Osuntokun, Osita Chidoka, Senator Dino Melaye, Hon. Nnenna Ukeje, Segun Sowunmi, Kazeem Afegbua, and Umar Sanni.

4- Ex-US President George Bush Dead

Former US president George Herbert Walker Bush has died at the age of 94, his family announced in a statement on Friday. The World War II veteran was elected the 41st President of the United States and fathered the nation’s 43rd president George Walker Bush Jr.

5- Asuu Strike: FG Orders No-Work-No-Pay Rule

The Federal Government has ordered Vice Chancellors of the striking federal universities and inter-varsity centres in Nigeria to enforce the “no-work-no-pay rule” on striking lecturers. The federal government noted that payment of salaries to the striking workers from any other sources would be viewed as a violation of extant rules and Government directive.

6- EFCC Arrests Lebanese With Over $2m Cash

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) busted and arrested a Lebanese man Abbas Lakis for alleged money laundering. According to reports, Lakis was picked up at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, following intelligence report that he had a huge amount of diverse currencies on him.

7- I Am A Descendant Of Abraham Just Like Ajayi Crowther – Buhari

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has described himself as “a descendant of Abraham just like Bishop Crowther” in what appears to be a swipe at those accusing him of attempting to Islamise Nigeria. Crowther was the first Anglican bishop in Nigeria. A linguist, he translated the Bible from English to Yoruba.

9- CAF Strips Cameroon Of Afcon 2019 Hosting Rights

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has reportedly withdrawn the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations hosting rights from Cameroon. The executive committee of Caf is set to meet in Accra on the sidelines of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations to confirm the decision, an official of the football body told AFP.

10- Premier League Fixtures: Five Must-Watch Games This Weekend

Terrific clashes await English football followers this weekend as the Premier League returns with three derbies involving four sides in the top five.
