Nigerians have raised eyebrows after a woman called to chastise TVC presenter Tope Mark-Odigie for her dressing during a live show.
During the Your View program on television, a listener named Hauwa from Zamfara state called into the live broadcast with the intention of responding to the upcoming talks from the presenters on air.
Things took a drastic turn when the caller warned Tope Mark-Odigie about her “inappropriate dressing” before complimenting two OAPs, Morayo Afolabi-Brown and Nyma, on their outfits.
The caller claims that Tope dresses inappropriately on the show, rather than covering her body like a mother and public figure should. Morayo ordered that Hauwa’s call be cut short.
In response to the caller, Tope stated that she would dress whichever she considered appropriate as long as she did not breach the regulations. She noted that the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is the agency that has the authority to caution her about her fashion choices, and she has not to be chastised.
The video has sparked debate online, with many praising the presenter for her professionalism in responding to Hauwa’s claim.
