Tragedy rocked Plateau State on Friday morning when the two-story building at Saint Academy in the Busa Buji town of Jos North Local Government Area collapsed, trapping countless kids, teachers and leaving many dead.
According to The Punch, the building fell at 8:30 a.m., when classes had already begun, sparking considerable panic and pandemonium.
Distraught parents and community members hurried to the site, hoping to find out what happened to their loved ones.
Emergency workers and security officers were dispatched to the scene to look for survivors and rescue those trapped beneath the rubble.
The town was in shock, with residents screaming and crying as they waited for word of their children and coworkers.
