Emmanuel Amuneke, a former Nigeria international, has endorsed Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen’s prospective move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Earlier reports suggested that Ligue 1 champions PSG were working on a deal to sign Osimhen this summer. The Super Eagles’ striker’s deal includes a €130 million release clause.
Amuneke, who handed the 25-year-old his international debut at the U-17 level, believes that a move to PSG will benefit the forward’s career.
He stated: “PSG are a big team who play in the UEFA Champions League, it will be a welcome development if he moved there).
“To grow is a welcome development after he has done a lot for Napoli. He’s our star, he has to be playing and he knows what he wants.”
