Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senate candidate, has been declared the victor of the Kogi East senate election held on February 25, 2023.
According to Gistlover, the electoral petition tribunal in Lokoja gave the declaration on Wednesday.
In his judgement on Wednesday, tribunal Chairman Justice K.A. Orjiakoin stated that Uduaghan received 54,064 votes to defeat his nearest rival Sadiku-Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.
He urged Ohere to pay N500,000 to Akpoti-Uduaghan for the expense of the petition.More details soon…
