Vanguard reports that the newest Governor in Town, Governor Godwin Obaseki has started on a very shocking note by embarking on what many will refer to as biting the finger that fed you.
Governor Obaseki was sworn in last Saturday, just 3 days back and now he has started upturning some of the policies of the immediate past government of Adams of Oshiomhole.
One of the very first policies he reversed is the feeding policy by Adams Oshiomhole, where people who visited the government house were been fed for free.
Again Governor Obaseki cancelled the free feeding of people within and around the government house insisting in his Government, people must work for what they earn.
He said his administration will be radically different from the past governments, noting that the past four years were mostly used for politicking, but he is ready to bring a drastic change.
He explained, “You will find out that our administration is going to be slightly different.
“It will be radically different, from the last four years and the reason is simple.
“In the last four years, we had to do a lot of politics because we had to recover our state from strange people forces.
“By the grace of God, we have recovered our state; it is now our state.
“But the problem we have is that we now have to get value for everything we have.
“There is no free lunch anymore; everybody must now work to earn. You must work to chop.”
“If you have been patient all these years, will you not give me 90 days?
“We want to change things radically.
“We have not less than half a million of young men and women between the ages of 19 and 35 who are doing nothing.
“So please, just be patient with me. We will get there and we will get there sooner than you think,” Obaseki said.
“If you have been patient all these years, will you not give me 90 days?
