Ruger, a well-known Nigerian musician, has straightened out the record, claiming that blogger Tunde Ednut, not his former boss D’Prince, was responsible for discovering his talent.
A short while after splitting from Jonzing World and starting his own independent record company, Blown Boy Entertainment, Ruger shared this information on his Instagram account.
The 24-year-old performer thanked Tunde Ednut for first spotting him and then putting him in contact with D’Prince, who signed him to Jonzing World.
Ruger wrote on his Instagram story:
“Just because I’m free to talk now, I want to specially thank @mazitundeednut for being the initial person that discovered me before handing me over to the Prince. God bless you, king maker.”
In his freestyle release “Blownboy,” Ruger announced his break from a specific “godfather” in the music business, signalling his exit from Jonzing World.
Ruger declared in the viral video that he would not be faithful to the unidentified godfather and that the upcoming year will be devoted to himself.
Ruger highlighted the necessity to take a risk on himself at this point in his career, even as he thanked D’Prince and Jonzing World in his freestyle.
“I denounce every loyalty to some godfather, this year I’m about me,” Ruger sang.
