Twitter influencer Ayo has reportedly been released from police custody after being arrested by Toyin Abraham

Twitter influencer Ayo has reportedly been released from police detention following his arrest by prominent actress Toyin Abraham on charges of defamation and cyberbullying.

The news of his release spread fast on social media, provoking extensive discussion.

Toyin Abraham made headlines a few weeks ago following Ayo’s arrest, which sparked a large internet campaign for his release.

Users on the social networking platform X (previously known as Twitter) rallied together, demanding justice and Ayo’s release.

The scenario took a drastic turn earlier today when popular activist VeryDarkMan served Toyin Abraham with a 24-hour ultimatum demanding Ayo’s release.

Shortly after, news appeared on social media stating that Ayo had been released.

Another Twitter personality, Abazz, made the announcement, sharing the news on his X page.

He thanked everyone who helped push for Ayo’s release.

He wrote:

“Big Ayo is free. Thank you everyone”

In other news, Reality TV celebrity Tacha Akide has openly taken sides with actress Toyin Abraham amid online users’ call to release an X user, Ayo, who she arrested for cyberbullying.

You may recall that Toyin Abraham arrested an X user named Ayo, who defamed and abused her on the internet. According to reports, she also arrested the man’s mother.

In response, Tacha pondered why a person would be bullied for supporting the same candidate for president of Nigeria, as everybody else had done

She further explained how writing a petition to the police works in reaction to the rumors that she took into custody Ayo’s mother.

Tacha also questioned what Toyin Abraham’s impact was in the 2023 general elections, wondering if there would have been a difference in the outcome as Tinubu became the President.
