Mary Njoku, an actress, and Uche Ogbodo, a colleague, have sharply divergent opinions after the latter criticized a man who claimed he was the victim of a false rape accusation.
Last weekend, a man named Richard Osita accused a woman named Bella Nwoko of wrongly accusing him of rape on social media. He also criticized the Police for ignoring his report.
Osita posted a video of the lady expressing regret for accusing him of rape without evidence in 2021.
He claimed that after complaining to the authorities, they did not take him seriously because it was a “female-on-male crime.”
Uche Ogbodo responded to it on Instagram and advised him to “relax” about his “vindictive approach,” adding that the lady had only threatened and not actually done what she had said she would. She penned:
“Richard you need to relax with your vindictive approach! She threatened to accuse you but she never did….and turned around to apologise for it. Forgive her then and move on! Let us stop pushing wicked and meant people to ruin people’s lives all in the name of ‘I am Right’.
See how you are even abusing the Police Force! What manner of person is this guy? You want her to pay for what? For not carrying out a threat yet? Nah you even carry am come social media come announce am. Abeg shift Richard!”
Mary Remmy-Njoku disagreed, saying:
“She must face the consequences. False rape allegation can destroy someone’s life, career and reputation forever. Any time you search for his name ‘rape’ could be mentioned. And his crime was ‘not being interested in her.’ she needs to be jailed.”
“Jesus wept for Nollywood”- Uche Maduagwu slams Uche Ogbodo over rape saga
Controversial actor Uche Maduagwu has responded to Uche Ogbodo’s position on the dramatic false rape claims.
Over the weekend, Richard Osita, a man, caused a stir when he confronted Bella Nwoko, a young woman, for making a fake rape accusation against him.
The man shared the footage of his ex-girlfriend apologizing for falsely accusing him of rape and criticized the police for allegedly not taking his complaint seriously.
“THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA, THEY DON’T MAKE FEMALE-ON-MALE CRIMES SERIOUSLY!
After the woman had apologized, Uche Ogbodo responded to the allegation by criticizing the man for harboring resentment
She urged him to let go of his vindictive behavior because the woman had only threatened and not actually carried out her threat.
Uche Ogbodo was pulled for her insensitive remark about the situation by an enraged Uche Maduagwu.
The controversial actor mentioned those who were unfairly punished after being falsely accused of rape.
He wrote, “Dear Uche, your alleged Comment to Richard is absurdly Insensitive, if Na your Pikin such happened to, will you give such preposterous advice?
