Nigerian pastor Deborah Emmanuel Omale has given a stern caution to women, urging them to make sure that their dowry is settled before cohabiting with any man.
The clergywoman declared that women who reside with men without a customary bride price are essentially assigning themselves to the role of “house help”.
She proceeded to elaborate that men who are unwilling to fulfill the bride price requirement may not prioritize the relationship’s longevity.
In her opinion, these men might end up leaving for another woman when it’s time to make the relationship official.
During her speech, Pastor Deborah also emphasized the importance of women taking proactive steps to address their situation before it escalates.
The clergywoman’s advice has ignited a flurry of responds online, with many women weighing in and sharing their perspectives, ranging from agreement to playful humor.
